This course will introduce students to relational database management systems. Topics will include: table design, table relationship design, database normalization, database optimization, query definition, and form and report development. These concepts are reinforced with practical exercises in creating queries, forms and reports to maintain and display the data in a database. The course will also introduce students to the concepts of data validation and security to ensure the integrity of the database.
