This course introduces the students to the College, the School, the program, and the profession of health informatics. The students are provided with an overview of the program structure, its curriculum, and policies. The students are also exposed to the field of health informatics through the field trips to different health care organizations. The field trips provide the students with an opportunity to explore the functions of health informatics departments in a variety of health care and related settings.
